July 13, 2005 Group Greetings
Wednesday evening.
Here, some of us will share a moment or two with friends or family:
Dear family and.. friends. Here I am, missing you all, but having a wonderful time . The blessings have been too numerous to relate, I will have many stories to tell. See you all soon. God bless you and keep you while we’re away, Love, Susan
Dear Victor, Nick, Family, and Friends, I want you to know that we are lodging in a wonderful hotel. Susan is my roommate. We have the only “upper room”. It’s up a stairway, so it has a tiny bit of a view just to the left as we go into our door. The Nicaraguan houses have open air areas which let in a breeze.
The hotel has a beautiful garden which opens to the sky across from where we take our delicious breakfasts and dinners. In the garden are many yellow shrimp plants that seem to attract hummingbirds. Many ferns and other plants grow there, some in the ground and some in hanging baskets. We have seen some lizards there as well. It is raining now, nearly flooding the garden and some other open areas around the hotel.
Today we visited a church for the clinic. It took about one and a half hours to get there. That’s good time considering that when the road is in worse shape it might take two hours. The minister, Pastor Umberto, has a motorcycle that was given to him by a motorcycle ministry group last November. He now can visit his churches much more quickly than when he could only visit on foot. His sons actually drive him since he really would rather not drive it himself.
Today was very busy. We saw so many beautiful children and people. See you soon, Love, Anna PS. Nick, I can’t wait to hear what you have been doing. Love, Mom ________________________________________________________________________

Friends and family,
All I can do is shout hallelujah!!!! This trip is becoming more and more amazing each day. I am seeing God in so many faces here, the people are beautiful and the Spirit of the Lord here is too hard to hide from. It is everywhere. I cannot wait to finish out the week and get to experience even more of His awesome creation. To everyone who supported this team, we thank you, as well as the people of Nicaragua…..

Hi friends and family! Only one more day of clinics left! It has been very hot, tiring, but joyous and fun-filled as well. Love our time here, but look forward to coming home. Love and miss you all.
Brenda
The country of Nicaragua is great. In fact, with the Stauffer’s permission, I have agreed to stay here awhile. People here do play a lot of basketball and the food is great! Just kidding. See you all soon.

Dear Robert, Sarah, Gracie, and Anna,
I made it to Nicaragua and all is well. The team is great and I know there will always be a special bond between us. The people here are happy and filled with love. They have taken us in as if we were their own. I was very surprised by the western influence here and there is even tv with an English channel. The youth were watching Friends the other nite. I didn’t join them even though I wanted to as I am fasting from makeup, hairdryers, tv, etc. Life is so simple here and I am able to reflect without distraction. Miss you Robert terribly. You would have enjoyed this!. I dream about you nightly and look forward to seeing you on Saturday.-Noel-
P.s. I have taken loads of pictures and shopping day is on Friday. Will be looking for special gifts for all of you. Sarah I know you want a skirt. I will try my best.
Lots of love, Mommy

Hi, my name is Renea Harris, I am a nurse and work in the office of Missionary Ventures to organize the medical mission trips. I am so greatful that I was invited to join the team. My greatest joy on this trip came the day that the pastor who was to be with us on the second day for doing the evangelism her daughter was sick and was not able to be there. The question was asked who is going to do the evangelism? I heard words coming out of my mouth, “Here am I, send me”. I will do the evangelism. I had never done this before. Then I thought what have I got myself into. Well let me tell you this was the greatest joy I have ever experienced. I began praying with a group of 5 through an interpreter and before I knew it 30 people came closer so they to could listen. There was one boy who was 11 years old who had never heard the name of Jesus and had never seen a Bible before. I asked if he would like to learn about Jesus and he said yes. I share in depth with him and at the end he said the prayer of Salvation. There were a total of 5 who accepted Christ as their personal Savior. I cried as they cried to know that they will always have Jesus in their heart and be their best friend throughout their life. Thank You Coronado United Methodist Church! Renea Harris
