Our hotel in Antigua is beautiful.  There are many gardens within the walls of the hotel.  Since there is so much rainfall the plants are very tropical.  We are in a valley
surrounded by mountains.  The air is cool and it has rained off and on yesterday and today.  Our rooms are very nice and contain furniture made of wood.  The floors
are a beautiful terracotta color.  We are sitting outside enjoying the many porches and balconies.  It has made a perfect ending to our busy mission trip.  Our
surroundings are much different than in the city of Chichicastenga.
Many of us walked into the main square of Antigua today and enjoyed the sites and sounds of this busy market day.  The markets were much the same as in Chichi.
However, many of the stores opened into lush courtyards once you stepped inside from the street.  Different groups ate in restaurants through out Antigua and discussed
how good they thought the food was they had tried.  Around the square we saw horse drawn carriages that would take you for a short tour of Antigua.  It was surprising
to see so many Americans.  A gentleman in the park shared with us that there are perhaps 22 schools in Antigua where people study Spanish.  We saw many
nationalities.
Steve, Anita, Chris and Brandon took the trip to see the volcano early this morning.  Several rode horses and some walked.  It was exciting to hear about their
adventure.  They took some fantastic pictures.
Tonight is our last night in Guatemala.  It has been a wonderful trip.  We have had many eye-opening experiences and will share these when we return to New Smyrna
Beach.  Thank you again to the Coronado Community Methodist Church for sponsoring such a rewarding mission trip.  We pray that we have in some small way that
we have helped the people of Guatemala, especially in Camanchaj.
We leave for the airport tomorrow morning at 6:45 am and begin our journey home.  Pray for us as we travel and for those less fortunate that our group.
Love to all,
