Guatemala Construction Mission Team 2007

The July Guatemala Team is very excited!  We leave early Sunday morning, July 15th and will arrive in
Chichicastenango in the late  afternoon.  We will stay at the Hotel Santo Tomas for five nights
while we work on preschool construction  adjacent to the Salud y Paz  Clinic in Camanchaj, which
is located about a half hour away by bus.

After five days of working very hard - under the direction of a Mayan foreman - we will travel to
Antigua where we will have time to explore the volcano and/or the marketplace before flying home on
Sunday, July 22nd.  We will arrive home very late....so leave the lights on.

A fiesta - the 6th Anniversary of Salud y Paz - will be held Monday, July 16th and we have been invited
to participate.  We will be bringing some decorations and look forward to getting to know the
community.  Watch the website for photographs - click on Daily Updates.

This photograph shows Kathleen Tager and Janet Bernhard, co-leaders, holding the
T-shirts we wear while traveling.  The color makes us easy to spot in any crowded
situation!  It also identifies us as a team from Coronado Community United Methodist
Church in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.  We are PROUD to represent this congregation!

Thank you for your support and prayers.
